Daniel López PadillaRespiratory Department Consultant of the Hospital General Universitario Gregorio Marañón at Madrid, Spain, he works in its Respiratory Intermediate Care Unit, credited as a High-Complexity Unit by the Spanish Society of Pneumology and Thoracic Surgery (SEPAR). Medical doctor degree by the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Honduras, obtained a Pneumology Specialist degree from the Hospital Universitario 12 de Octubre of Madrid and a PhD degree from the Universidad Autónoma of Madrid. His areas of interest are the acute and chronic respiratory failure in need of non-invasive respiratory therapies, sleep related respiratory disorders and COPD. Active member of NEUMOMADRID, where he presided its Scientific Council from 2018 to 2021, and of SEPAR as well, as member of the Executive Committee of the Spanish Sleep Network and Early Career Chair for the Integrated Research Plan in Respiratory Critical Care and Non-invasive Mechanical Ventilation. Author of more than 25 indexed-journal publications and more than 100 communications to local and international scientific meetings.

Régulo Ávila MartínezHe obtained his title as a Specialist in Thoracic Surgery at the Hospital Universitario 12 de Octubre in Madrid, Spain, and is a Doctor of Medicine and Surgery from the Universidad Complutense of Madrid, with an honourable mention “Cum Laude”. He is currently a Thoracic Surgery Department Consultant of the Hospital Central de la Defensa in Madrid, Spain and works at the Ruber International Hospital as well. He also is Professor at the Faculty of Medicine at the Universidad of Alcalá de Henares and was a Collaborating Professor of Surgical Pathology at the Faculty of Medicine at the Universidad Complutense of Madrid from 2010 to 2015. He has defended more than 50 communications and papers at national and international conferences and is the author of more than 20 scientific articles.

Paola BenedettiDegree in Medicine from the Universidad Central of Venezuela in Caracas, Venezuela. She obtained the title of Specialist in Pneumology at the Hospital Universitario Clínico San Carlos in Madrid, Spain, and her PhD degree from the Universidad Complutense of Madrid with an Outstanding “Cum laude” mention. She is currently working as an interventional pulmonologist at the Hospital General Universitario Gregorio Marañón in Madrid, Spain. She is a member of the NEUMOMADRID Techniques and Transplantation and Pleural Pathology Workgroup and served as Secretary of the Techniques and Transplantation Group in the period 2017-2020. She is also a member of the Early Career Group of Bronchoscopies and Interventional Techniques of the Spanish Society of Pulmonology and Thoracic Surgery (SEPAR). She has been a speaker at regional congress sessions and has defended multiple scientific communications at national and international meetings. Similarly, she has participated in the drafting of book chapters, guidelines, and scientific articles.

Layla Diab CáceresShe obtained her PhD degree from the Universidad Autónoma of Madrid, and currently works as a Respiratory Department Consultant of the Hospital Universitario 12 de Octubre at Madrid, Spain.

Elena García CastilloGraduated in Medicine, she currently works as a Consultant of the Respiratory Department in the Hospital Universitario de la Princesa at Madrid, Spain. She is also a Professor at the Universidad Autónoma of Madrid and a member of the Emerging COPD Group of the Spanish Society of Pulmonology and Thoracic Surgery (SEPAR). She has participated in more than 10 national research projects and is the author of 25 articles in national and international medical journals. His areas of interest are COPD, non-invasive mechanical ventilation, and sleep-disordered breathing.

Beatriz Morales ChacónRespiratory Department Consultant of the Hospital Clínico San Carlos, at Madrid, Spain, and Associate Professor at the Universidad Complutense of Madrid. Her areas of interest include lung cancer, COPD and interstitial lung diseases.

Raúl Moreno ZabaletaHe has a degree in Medicine and Surgery from the Universidad Complutense of Madrid and works as a Respiratory Department Consultant of the Hospital Universitario Infanta Sofía University at San Sebastián de los Reyes, Madrid, and the Hospital Quirón La Luz Hospital of Madrid. Associate Professor at the Universidad Europea of Madrid. He is a member of the Working groups on COPD and Sleep and Mechanical Ventilation of Neumomadrid and of the Spanish Society of Pulmonology and Thoracic Surgery (SEPAR). He has been a speaker at national congress sessions and has defended multiple scientific communications in national and international congresses.

Pilar Resano BarrioShe has a degree in Medicine from the Universidad Autónoma of Madrid and obtained the title of Specialist in Pneumology from the Hospital General Universitario Gregorio Marañón She is currently taking a Doctorate Course in Health Sciences at the Universidad of Alcalá de Henares. She has been a Consultat at the Respiratory Department of the Hospital Universitario of Guadalajara, Spain, since June 2006, where she is responsible for the Home Mechanical Ventilation Unit, as well as the Intermediate Respiratory Care Unit. See is also a member of the Spanish Society of Pulmonology and Thoracic Surgery (SEPAR), where she is an active member of the TRS-VM-CRC Area.

Leonardo Saldaña PérezRespiratory Department Consultant of Hospital Universitario de Getafe, at Madrid, Spain. Medical doctor degree by the Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. He obtained the title of Specialist in Pneumology at the Hospital Universitario Fundación Alcorcón. He is a member of the NEUMOMADRID Asthma and COPD Working Groups. He is also a member of the Early Career Asthma and COPD Groups of the Spanish Society of Pulmonology and Thoracic Surgery (SEPAR). He has been a speaker at regional congress sessions and has defended multiple scientific communications at national and international congresses.

Ester Zamarrón De LucasRespiratory Department Consultant of the Hospital Universitario La Paz at Madrid, Spain, where she currently develops her activity mainly in the field of cystic fibrosis, bronchiectasis, and respiratory infections. She obtained her PhD degree from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.
She is part of the IdiPAZ research group and is the author of more than 30 articles in indexed journals and of more than 60 communications in national and international conferences. In addition, she is a member of the Respiratory infections and Tuberculosis Workgroup of NEUMOMADRID and member of the Area of Tuberculosis and other respiratory infections of the Spanish Society of Pulmonology and Thoracic Surgery (SEPAR).
